AP of Climate & Culture - Mr. Jason Schaal

My name is Jason Schaal, and 2025 marks my 25th year in education. I began my career as a Physical Education teacher in School District U-46 at Larsen Middle School and was proud to be part of the original staff that opened South Elgin High School in 2005. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow as an educator and leader, serving as both a Department Chair and Dean of Students. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master's Degree from Aurora University.

I’m thrilled to return to South Elgin High School as an Assistant Principal and continue contributing to a school community that means so much to me. I am passionate about fostering strong, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families, and I look forward to helping create a positive and engaging learning environment for all.
