Dr. Steve Tucker is the Assistant Principal for Freshmen Success/AVID/and Physical Education for South Elgin High School. Since 2020, Steve’s experience includes being responsible for the instructional oversight that will ensure the academic and social-emotional well-being of all freshmen students. Steve has extensive knowledge of instructional practices and interventions, and experience with data-driven improvement planning. He works to identify and implement programs that target students who struggle in school and identify strategies to ensure academic growth. Steve has experience in fostering a PLC culture that allows for collaborative team decision-making with an emphasis on success for every student.
